I think we need to keep in mind that there are a lot of great quotes that are just not the hottest ones. Examples include “you’re the hottest thing” (i.e.

I don’t know about you, but I am enjoying the edgy trend. I think I have seen quite a few of these quotes over the course of the last three years or so.

For the edgy quote writers, the first rule is to be very specific. The more specific the better. If you don’t know what a specific quote is, you might as well stick with the generic “an idea.” You probably do this because you want people to think you know what the quote means. But that can be dangerous.
When you get into the edgy-quote mindset, you have to be very careful about what you say. Most people don’t know what a quote means. They are pretty much the same people who use it as a way to get points for your points. It’s like a bad joke, but it’s funny. I can’t think of a better way.
