The quote above is from the famous American writer, poet, and Nobel laureate, elie wiesel, who was born in Poland in 1925. He was an atheist, committed to social and ecological justice, and was a survivor of Nazi death camps.
Wiesel has gone on record many times to say that his experience in the Auschwitz death camp didn’t affect his life. He states that, in fact, the Holocaust changed him in profound ways. That’s because the Holocaust showed him that humans are fundamentally different from other animals. According to Wiesel, the Nazis’ dehumanization of Jews and the Jewish people was a “vast and horrible mistake.” And that mistake is responsible for the destruction of much of the world.
For example, he states that Hitler was a genius at dehumanizing people, but that his humanist values were not enough to win him many friends. Hitler also wanted the Jewish people to be exterminated, but his humanity and compassion kept him from carrying out his evil. Wiesel believes that Hitler’s crimes were so vile that he is not a good person.
Wiesel is a brilliant writer, so it’s no surprise that he came up with a lot of good stuff to say about Hitler. He also stated that humanity is not the problem, it’s the evil people who have dehumanized it. Wiesel isn’t necessarily saying that all violent people are bad. He says that the problem is the evil people who dehumanize the humanity of others.
Wiesel isnt saying that all violent people are bad. He states that the problem is the evil people who dehumanize the humanity of others. Wiesel isnt saying that all violent people are bad. He states that the problem is the evil people who dehumanize the humanity of others.

Wiesel was a lot more honest with his feelings about the Holocaust. He says that the problem is the evil people who dehumanize the humanity of others.
I think you can get a lot more meaning out of this quote than the sentence: “The evil people who dehumanize the humanity of others.” What the writer is trying to say is that there is evil in our world that dehumanizes the humanity of others. Even in the most benevolent of societies, there are people who think that the best way to get to a person’s heart is to dehumanize them. There’s evil that exists within us all.
This is my favorite Wiesel quote. He’s being kind of weird here, but I like that it is from a man who’s in a way been very kind to me. It also seems to have kind of a moralizing tone about why people dehumanize other people. I think that Wiesel is saying that we have to fight the evil in ourselves to stop dehumanizing others.
One of the reasons why dehumanizing is so much better than just being mean is because you know when you dehumanize someone you are saying that they are not human. You are making their humanness as the only thing that makes them human. It is a very different type of dehumanizing than something like, “You don’t know jack about me”.
