“Cleverness is not to be confused with cleverness of purpose, cleverness of design, cleverness of skill, cleverness of art, cleverness of knowledge, or cleverness of intelligence.
If you want to learn anything about cleverness, read your parents. Their generation was more like The Truman Show than a proper education. There’s a lot of crap and a lot of mumbo jumbo in the cleverness books that they bought and read. They didn’t know it, but the cleverness books they read were the most important books they ever read.
My parents have definitely been confused about cleverness, but you should be, too. There is a lot of stuff in the cleverness books that is just not true, but they were the books that got them confused. My parents knew that they had to read them, but they were so busy making people happy and making people smarter that they were so busy making cleverness look really easy that they were making it look pretty hard.
The author, Steve Blank, says that he has a lot of friends who have studied the cleverness books and that they have no idea how to use them. That’s okay, though. They don’t even need to finish them to understand how to use them. If they can read one book, they can read all of them.
My parents are both people who thought very hard about how to raise a child, and they were both very smart about it. One was a psychologist and the other was a computer scientist. They were both very smart, and that is not a bad thing. Its just that in each of their lives, they were so busy making people happy and making them smarter that they were so busy making cleverness look really easy.
I can’t remember which one was my mom. I think it was her. I think it was her because she was a really smart woman. If she were alive today, I think she would be very proud to have been the one who invented programming languages and she would be proud to have been the one who invented a computer.
The fact is that most of our thinking and actions are on autopilot. Because if you don’t do something, it doesn’t affect you as much as if you were on autopilot. So in order to be smart, you have to pay attention to your actions more than you do your actions. But our brains aren’t equipped to be smart. And if you don’t do anything, you die a little bit.
If you dont do something, it doesnt affect you as much as if you were on autopilot. And that’s okay because it keeps us at a standstill for a long time.
Think about it. If you were on autopilot, your actions wouldn’t affect you that much. Because your actions don’t affect you because you are not in action. And even if you were in action, you wouldnt be able to be smart. And if you are not on autopilot, you can’t do anything. And that is okay because even though it keeps us at a standstill for a long time, it keeps us alive.
I think most of the quotes are pretty self-explanatory, but if you would like to hear more just ask. And in general, if you feel you have something smart to say, you can always put it here.
